Necessary Personal Attributes

The Coding Manual for Qualitative Researchers, 2nd Edition,
Johnny Saldana, Sage, 2013, page 36

Moving on to 'Necessary Personal Attributes for Coding', Saldana gives a list of seven personal attributes that he thinks that all qualitative researchers should have. This is in addition to:

such cognitive skills as induction, deduction, abduction, synthesis, evaluation and logical and critical thinking.

So he's not asking a lot, you understand! I'm also not entirely sure where 'abduction' should fit in the list, but perhaps that's another story ...
