Fowler, Trinity Press 1996, page 125 Inside views often supply clear, direct and indisputable guidance for the reader but we learn not to trust inside views without reservation. Seeing and hearing can be blindness and deafness. Knowledge can turn out to be a delusion. Motivation and intentions have a way of not being fulfilled.
