Here are our ideas of the sort of house that we will need to find to be our base for the vision.

  1. To have enough rooms and overall accomodation, the house will be an older and larger style of building. It will need a significantly sized room on the ground floor to hold classes and meetings, and a large kitchen and dining area that can at the same time accommodate a large group and be intimate enough to sit and chat across the worktop over a cup of tea. An important part of the function of the house will be to enable people to relax over meals and chat around the kitchen space.

  2. The house will need office space for the ministry and room for a study or library. A number of bedrooms and bathrooms will also be required for the family, with spare rooms for overnight or short-term accommodation. Secondary accommodation, by way of a separate flat or building in the grounds, that could allow a second family to join the ministry, would be a bonus.

  3. The position and location of the house are important. The building must be either adjacent to the university campus, or within a few minutes walk, so that we are instantly accessible; it should include an area for parking so that people coming to classes or seminars from a distance can park without needing to walk far.

Do you know of a suitable house that might be available? Please keep your eyes open and let us know if you see something that you think would be a good match for our vision.
